How will my donation be used?

As a 501(c)(3) charity, we don't spend your money on political lobbying or campaigns. Your donation will be used directly in our efforts to protect and care for our region's seabirds. Your donation will pay for the veterinary care and rehabilitation needs of injured seabirds, conservation education programs for our area's schools, and conservation research that will make it easier for us to preserve our natural treasures. Every donation is tax deductible.

How can I donate?

Cash or Check

Donations by check can be made payable to Pelican Harbor Seabird Station. Donation Receipts are available upon request. These funds are immediately deposited into our operating account and support the daily operations of our organization.

Credit Card

We can now accept donations by credit card. While we can not accept credit card donations online, you can make your credit card donation in person or over the phone by calling Wendy at 305-751-9840.

Matching Gifts

Check with your employer to see if your company has a matching gifts program. Some banks also offer matching gifts for charitable donations. You can easily double your donation.

Appreciated Property

Consider giving a 'nest egg' to your favorite group of pelicans. Your stocks, bonds, and mutual funds can all be donated to the Seabird Station to provide long term support to our programs.

Wills & Life Insurance

If you no longer need the coverage of your current life insurance policy, you can transfer ownership of your policy to the Seabird Station. You may also choose to bequeath part of your estate to the Seabird Station.
